At Cat Clinic of Johnson County, we know how stressful it can be to leave your beloved cat when you are away from home. That’s why we do everything we can to put both you and your kitty at ease. We take great pride in our attention to cleanliness and in providing the highest quality care to each cat that stays with us.
Our professional and friendly team takes great care of our kitty guests. We will make every effort to ensure that your cat is safe, happy, and healthy during his or her stay with us. Feel free to bring any bedding, blankets, or toys that your cat enjoys at home. We do provide bedding for our boarders. But sometimes, having a familiar object with the scent of home helps cats settle in to an unfamiliar place more easily. If your cat has special needs such as health issues, medications, or a special diet, our staff is happy to provide for those needs. We provide Fancy Feast canned food and/or a trail mix of dry foods. However, if your cat is on a prescription diet or needs to continue eating what they normally eat, please bring enough for their entire stay.
We recognize that each cat is unique and has its own needs. We have several options for our boarders so that you can find the best accommodations for your cat(s).
Cat Suites
Our suites have three levels that can accommodate one or two cats. They are great for active cats who are able to jump up and down.
Condos & Studios
Cats who are a little less active may be more comfortable with our Condos, which have two levels that are closer together, and a separate litter box area, or Studios with everything on one level.
Family Rooms
We also have our very popular family rooms where up to five cats from the same family can stay together and have a whole room to themselves.
Treatment Room
Diabetic boarders stay in our treatment room, so that we can monitor them closely.
When you leave your kitty with us, you can rest assured that there will not be barking dogs to scare your furry family member. It’s one less thing to cause them stress!
We require all of our boarding kitties to have an examination done by one of our clinic’s veterinarians within the past year. Boarders must also be current on rabies and upper respiratory vaccines. If vaccines were given at another clinic, please bring those records with you or have them faxed to us at 913-541-1742 or emailed to emeow@catclinicofjc.com. If you give flea prevention at home, just let us know. Otherwise, we do give a dose when your cat checks in for boarding just to make sure no one goes home with any hitchhikers!
We welcome your questions about our boarding facilities and policies and are eager to discuss how we can make your cat’s stay as happy as possible, while alleviating any stress you may be feeling about leaving your pet while you travel.
